Meruelo Studios is a Film, Television and Media Broadcasting Production Company located in the Mid-City area of Los Angeles, California, which sits diagonally accros the street from Roscoe’s House of Chicken and Waffles on Pico. The studio is owned and operated by Meruelo Media. Which in turn is owned by the Meruelo Group.
Alex Meruelo a Cuban-American Billionaire Conglomerate owner is the founder. With assets in Real Estate and Brodcast Media, the Meruelo Group also owns radio stations KPWR, which is 105.9 FM, Power 106 and KDAY, whcih is 93.5 FM, 93.5 KDAY in Los Angeles, California just to name a few.
The Meruelo Studios facility is and eclectic shaped building that was originally created by Award winning Architects John Sergio Fisher & Associates, Inc. for what was then called the Gam Entertainment Building or Gam Arts Center, which is a retailer and rental house for award winning motion picture lighting equipment. Even though Gam Products was sold to Rosco Laboratories back in 2013. The company still retains its Gam Products name.
With Meruelo Studios now holding down the spotlight, within the of Los Angeles, we are sure to see many different productions with a diverse cast, and crew to a diverse audience at best.
