IATSE Local 80

The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE), represents a plethora of Film Industry below-the-line workers on set, and this is Local 80. A union local,  just like with IATSE Local 728, but this one represents Television and Motion Picture Studio Grips, Crafts Services, Set Medics, Marine and Warehouse Workers.

If you want to work as a Film/ Television Grip, Commercial Grip, Dolly Grip, Craft Services personnel, or work in a New Media environment, this is where it’s at. But you need to study your craft. One way is through Hollywood CPR, Non-Profit Organization at West LA College, former school of Socialbilitty founder @shaunti-griffin. Or, by studying on your own and learning the expensive Grip equipment such as Matthews Studio Equipment. But you must be on TIME to any gig, if you want to keep it!
