Variety is considered one of the oldest major trade publications for Hollywood, and the entertainment industry. Geared towards entertainment news, reviews, box office information, stories, videos, photos, production information and a database of events, one can also browse to find Academy Award Nominees. Or what’s currently being Cast in film and television.

With archives dating way back from 1905 for TV and film, this subscription-based service is beneficial to the entertainment subscriber who is a Producer, Director, or Casting Director even an actor. However, Variety’s plethora of entertainment information is not for free. The popular entertainment industry directory publication called Variety411 is now called LA | NY 411 acquired by the ProductionHUB in 2018. Both are featured at the Cine Gear Expo, a state of the art trade show held annually at Paramount Pictures.

The Variety enterprise is owned by the Penske Media Corporation, formerly located in the Miracle Mile District of Los Angeles, to it’s new location in Westwood, California.
