The Disney Concert Hall is one of the most prestigious landmarks in Los Angeles, California of the modern era. The large abstract sheet metal shaped in big curves highlights the Downtown LA scene. The building was designed by none other than Architect Frank Gehry, who has designed many similar abstract buildings in Los Angeles and around the world.
The acoustic venue is the permanent home of the World-Famous Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra, Conducted by Gustavo Dudamel. The famous Orchestra also calls the Hollywood Bowl their home away from home, and conducts other various classical musical entertainment events throughout the year utilizing both venues.
The Disney Concert Hall however, is named after, as well as dedicated to the late great and most prolific Cartoonist Walt Disney, by his late Wife Lillian Marie Disney who was an artist herself at the world-renowned Walt Disney Studios for many years.
