The Hollywood Athletic Club is one of the oldest venues in Los Angeles, California. Once considered the tallest building in Hollywood, and originally designed to be a health club with a hefty membership fee and member dues. As to which only celebrities of the time, such as Charlie Chaplin, Walt Disney, Mary Pickford, Cecil B. deMille, Humphrey Bogart and Clark Gable could afford. The elite venue was designed by architects Meyer & Holler in 1924, the same architect of Sid Grauman’s Chinese and Egyptian Theater, the venue features a Pool Hall, Library and VIP area. Today, the historic building is still considered to be an elite venue, with a plethora of celebrity sightings, events such as, Club Promotions, Meetings, Movie Wrap Parties, Film & Television Productions, Concerts, Private Parties, etc.
Music Fact: Iconic Pop star David Bowie gave an intimate concert at Hollywood Athletic Club on September 10, 1997.
