Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), also the entity that’s responsible for the annual Oscar Awards Ceremony is Headquartered in Beverly Hills, California. The professional organization is overseen by the AMPAS Board of Governors, and memberships are open to qualified filmmakers, producers, screenwriters around the world formed over 90 years ago. They are also responsible for build  the Academy Museum at the old May Co., building in the Miracle Mile District of Los Angeles.
