Hollywood CPR is a non-profit organization for those interested in below-the-line careers in motion picture and television production. The program is housed at the West Los Angeles College campus, and features an 18-month entry-level course taught by entertainment industry professionals and retirees.
Although they do not guarantee job placement, they have relationships with industry pros at various film studios and unions. When a student shows they are serious about obtaining a position in, Set Design, Grip and Lighting, Wardrobe, Sound and Editing, ADR and Foley, Camera Department, Set Painting, Stage Craft, or Props they have the potential to make it to the unions to be submitted for work.
However, only this best will make it into Unions like IATSE Local 80, they are counting on you to be on it, but most importantly not to let yourself down. Our very own @grip-department would definitely agree.
