Paramount Pictures is one of the oldest Motion Picture Studios in Hollywood. Still part of the “Big Five”, Paramount is owned by the Media Conglomerate Viacom. Paramount produces and distributes films foreign and domestic, in genres ranging from Action Adventure, Drama, Science Fiction, and the Gangster genre with Francis Ford Coppola’s the Godfather trilogy.  Other famous Directors such as Michael Bay of Bad Boy’s and Transformers fame and Ava DuVernay of Selma added to the value of the age-old Motion Picture Studio. The current Chairman and Chief Executive officer of Paramount Pictures is Jim Gianopulos.

During the late days of spring in early June, the much-anticipated event Cine Gear Expo arrives on the Paramount Studios backlot. The annual three-day free event features many new products from entertainment industry vendors, and suppliers from all over the globe. As well as a grand tour of many Paramount Studios soundstages, young filmmakers, entrepreneurs and film crews are able to stay educated about all the new technology being utilized in today’s film and television productions and many new developments in the works.
