Known as the former Columbia Pictures studios lot, the property has been known as the largest Independent Film Studio in Hollywood, California. In 2004, Global Innovation Partners bought the studio from Pick-Vanoff Co. However, GI Partners Equity later sells the property in 2007 to Hudson Pacific Properties (NYSE: HPP), a vertically integrated real estate company. Today, Hudson Pacific Properties still owns the historic film and television studio, and have sister studios, such as Sunset Bronson, Sunset Las Palmas Studios and United Recording studios respectively. The studio is consisting of 35 stages and 1.2 million square feet of office, and film, television and music production space on a total of 41 acres of land. In 2005 Hudson Pacific Properties completed a state-of-the-art building in Hollywood, California for Technicolor.
