The Hollywood Pantages Theatre is one of the oldest theater venues in Hollywood, dating back in the days of vaudeville. The art deco building originally opened in June of 1930, and has since exhibited many shows, concerts. Located on Hollywood and Vine St, in the heart of Hollywood, California, the famous theater sits on the edge of the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
In July of 1978, the famous venue was deemed a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument, which can never be demolished. In modern days the venue has exhibited many famous Plays such as Rent, Motown, Finding Neverland, The Phantom of the Opera, Anastasia, The Bodyguard, and A Bronx Tale. This of course contributes to the “Broadway In Hollywood” campaign.
The Hollywood Pantages Theatre is also the training facility for the students of Hollywood CPR, for stagehands attempting to learn their craft with apprenticeships into IATSE Local 33, along with the Hollywood Bowl, Staples Center, Hollywood Palladium and Walt Disney Concert Hall.
