Motion Picture Association (formerly MPAA)

The Motion Picture Association (MPA), formerly the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), traces its history to 1922 and works to support and advocate for the film, television and streaming industry. It also administers the American film rating system, as well as to prevent the government from interfering with the regulating of movies.
